Coos County Cuts Office Hours for the Public
PRESS RELEASE
June 25, 2025
Due to budgetary constraints resulting in reduced staffing, certain departments at the Coos County Courthouse in Coquille will be closed to the public for one hour at the beginning (8-9 AM) and the end (4-5 PM) of each workday. This will give county staff two hours per day to complete necessary clerical tasks without interruption. Offices will be closed 12-1 PM each day for lunch as well. These changes will take effect July 1, 2025.
Impacted offices will be Finance/Tax, Assessor, Clerk, Elections, Maintenance and Information Technology. The Sheriff’s Office, District Attorney and State Courts will not be impacted, nor will departments not housed in the Courthouse. These include Road, Parks, Solid Waste, Community Corrections, Juvenile, Coos Health & Wellness, County Counsel, Human Resources, Community Development, Veterans, Surveyor, Fair and the Board of Commissioners.
