"Coos County citizens deserve fair and transparent elections without party bias. I promise to clean up the voter logs and provide private, fair, and transparent elections."

ABOUT ME

My Background

Before we get into that . . . do you know why only only 56% of people who are eligible to vote actually vote?

There are three reasons:

1. Disillusionment

2. Indifference

3. A sense of futility

Our Governments' decisions are making our citizens feel all of the above.

I am willing to do my part to change that.

I am a single parent who knows what it is like to live from paycheck to paycheck. During my life I've worn many hats. I founded an advertising agency in Utah that operated for 13 years, then I opened a bar during the SLC Olympics. I've worked for clients like the US Army, US Airforce, Tooele County Commission, Dick Simon Trucking, Utah Scientific, Laird Telemedia, EDO Sports, Synergy Group, and the SLC Olympic Bid Committee.

All my life I have wanted to live in Oregon so when the opportunity came, I jumped on it. I spent 15 years in Eugene and moved to North Bend in 2019.

In Oregon, I've been employed as the National Sales Manager for two Oregon manufacturers, LRI Photon Micro Lights and High-Tech Transport aka Air-Weigh On-Board Scales. I've been a guest speaker for the SBA in their program, "How to do business with the Government." and I was a Member of the Pacific Northwest Defense Coalition. Following the death of my 19-year-old son, Robert; I started my web development company ACTNow Retention Services, LLC.

I love the outdoors. I enjoy hiking the trails along the Adventure Coast and taking pictures and flying kites. I feel lucky to enjoy the paradise we live in.

The reasons I am running for Coos County Clerk:

I am qualified. In the printing and advertising industries, you are required to learn about products and develop strategies to improve sales or promote events very quickly. If you make mistakes, you won't obtain additional work and might not get paid. My agency operated for 13 years in a highly competitive market. I currently design webpages, interactive training programs, and social media marketing campaigns. I am capable of fulfilling the job requirements of Coos County Clerk. I bring business experience, strategic planning, and practical application knowledge to the table.

- 25 years of management experience

- 15 years as a federal military contractor (statutes are a part of daily life)

- Managed multiple budgets simultaneously, largest was $1.5 million annually

- Owned a bar (in Utah) with bookkeeping requirements that included accounting for every ounce of alcohol, beer, and wine sold

- Document storage, fullfilment and disposal was a part of owning an advertising agency

- IT background, I write code. I understand how to create and maintain document backups to ensure that the 2020 ballot fiasco doesn't happen again.

I am running for Coos County Clerk as an everyday person who wants our government to work for us. I want our citizens to want to vote because their leaders are working for them, their leaders understand the people's concerns, and together we can make a difference in this world.

We deserve fair, impartial elections. I promise to clean up the voter logs and bring transparency to Coos County elections.

My Hobbies

Living a healthy lifestyle is important to me. I really love to hike the magnificent trials that spiderweb along the coast. My goal is to walk 3.5 miles everyday.

My Favorite Things

My favorite things are not things at all. My handsome son, Ryan and my beautiful daughter Laine are close to the top of my list. But my favorite thing is my sweet, 4-year old granddaughter Willow.
