Ballot Choices from The Rob Taylor Report for the May 17th, 2022 Primary Election

I will not tell you how you should vote, but I will show you who I am voting for and why in the May Primary Election.  I am registered as a non-affiliated voter, so I cannot vote for Democrat or Republican candidates.

Also, I want to assure people that I am not running for County Commissioner.  Rod Taylor is campaigning for that nomination.  We are not related, we just have similar names.

Some people are having trouble with receiving the proper party designation and it may have to do with the DMV and checking the registration of your party affiliation.   Please check your registration and contact the County Clerk to remedy the situation.

I always recommend that people should vote for “None of the Above” or “NOTA” for the categories that do not have anyone worthy of your vote.  It sends the message that we need better candidates and we will not settle for substandard choices.  Since we have seen a growth in authoritarianism in the past two years I would recommend voting NO to any incumbents, unless they have a spectacular record…Rob T.

Measures

I Voted NO on Measure 6-194:  We are taxed enough already.  I would recommend a NO Vote on all taxes until the government gets its priorities straight.

6-194 Coos County Measure authorizing Charleston Area tax on short-term lodging.

County Commissioner - Position 2

I Voted for Pam Lewis because she has fresh ideas and is not tied to the local political establishment like the incumbent.

Pam Lewis

County Commissioner - Position 3

I Voted for Rod Taylor because he is active in the Patriot Movement and kept fighting for our rights when the government was using “fake emergencies” to violate those rights during the pandemic.

Rod Taylor

County Clerk

I Voted for Diane Rich because of her IT experience and the fact she worked with military contracts as a private business owner, so she knows how to cut the government “red tape.”

Diane Rich

Commissioner of the Bureau of Labor and Industries

I originally thought of voting for Cheri Helt until someone revealed the fact she is anti-Second Amendment and she supported mandatory vaccination, so I am voting None of the Above, or “NOTA.”

Nobody in that category deserves my vote.

Judge of the Court of Appeals, Position 3

I Voted for Vance Day because of his unyielding support of the US Constitution.  He has proven that he is willing to stand up for individual rights.

Vance Day

Judge of the Circuit Court, 15th District, Position 1

I Voted for Martin Stone because I have been in his courtroom and he is fair and honest with his decisions.   I will not vote for any of the other incumbent judges, so those positions will receive a “NOTA.”

Martin Stone
